6.1 Prerequisites

The prerequisites of this tutorial are:

• You must know LaTeX
• You must know functional programming.
• You must run Linux or Windows. If you run Windows, you must also run Cygwin.
• You must have at least 2 gigabytes of ram. You might survive with 1 gigabyte, but then you are on your own.
• You must download and install Logiweb.
• You must adjust the width of your browser window to make the lines of the present tutorial short enough to be readable.

You also need a plain text editor. If you use emacs, keep it that way. If you use notepad, gedit, or similar, you might give the nirvana editor (nedit) a try. I use nedit myself. Nedit has the drawback that it does not support Unicode, but apart from that it has lots of nice features. In any case, pick an editor with which you feel comfortable.
